One question I get asked a LOT is "Would you ever sell eMoviePoster.com?" After all, I have been doing this non-stop for 25 years, and I am closing in on my ONE MILLIONTH auction! But there is no "yes or no" answer to this! I WOULD consider selling the business, but only under VERY precise conditions. The buyer would have to be to someone who would run it exactly as I do, and I don't know that that person exists (or if they do, and if they have the means to buy the business, that they have a willingness to move to West Plains).

But much more importantly, the new buyer would have to keep all our current employees. Why? Do you remember the scene in Casablanca where Rick (Humphrey Bogart) is negotiating to sell his cafe to his main competitor, Ferrari (Sydney Greenstreet)? Rick says that "Sam, Abdul, Carl and Sacha stay with the place, or he won't sell." And Ferrari replies, "Of course they stay. Rick's wouldn't be Rick's without them." And if that very same way eMoviePoster.com wouldn't be eMoviePoster.com without Phil, Angie, Clark, and the other 26 great employees here!

We have been doing this SO long that we really have it "down to a science", and at every step of the auction process, from when the items first arrive, through their auctions, and all the way until they are shipped to their new owners! So I am afraid that all of you are "stuck" with me (and everyone here at eMoviePoster.com) for the foreseeable future! And we know we provide a REALLY useful service for buyers and sellers of movie posters. Paraphrasing Tom Joad (Henry Fonda) in "The Grapes of Wrath:

"Wherever there's a buyer getting a fair shake when he sells his poster even when he has no clue as to its value, eMoviePoster.com will be there. Wherever there's a seller able to get more than pennies on the dollar for their prized items, even when they have no clue as to their value, eMoviePoster.com will be there. eMoviePoster.com will be there in the way collectors get all excited when they make a great buy, and , eMoviePoster.com will be there when they open their order and it is in even BETTER condition than they were expectin'.
