eMoviePoster.comDid you know... that on the week May 14th we made several improvements to our Auction History?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 05/21/2012 Below we'll cover the various improvements we've recently made to our Auction History (in the past week). Some of these were prompted by suggestions from club members and some were ones we noticed were needed, but in all cases, they make using our Auction History easier and faster to do. 1) Auto-titles. When you begin typing a film title in the Auction History search box, a list of possible titles appears. This is nothing new. What IS new is that when you click on or press "enter" on a title, it will now immediately search for that exact title and will not give you extra, undesired results. This saves you time (by clicking/typing less) and frustration (by getting you to the exact results you want with less need to be "creative" with how you search). 2) We added a new filter called "Country". This allows you to filter to country (such as "French") without limiting to a specific size (such as "French 1p"). With this filter, you can see ALL sizes from a specific country (and yes, you may still filter by size as well!). 3) We updated the accuracy of the year field. In some cases, we may have entered the year as "1930s", but it would display as "1930". In other cases, we originally had one year entered, but we later learned that the item was from a different year. That newer information is now displayed. 4) We made it easier to find autographed items. Before you could
search for "signed" or "autograph" or "autographed", and you would get wildly different results. Now
regardless of which you search for, you will get the same (accurate) results. Check out the over
6,800 signed items we've auctioned: 5) We sped up Top 800 pages. We previously announced that we have a
"Top 800" page for each year of our auctions. It was really slow (taking around 20 seconds or more
to load), so we figured out how to speed it up so that it takes less than 10 seconds to load! Check
it out here: 6) We also fixed a few other minor bugs that improve overall performance and the
ability to find what you want, and we'll continue to do so. Why not use the Auction History today to
find prices or just to enjoy looking at all the beautiful movie posters we've auctioned? Go here:
