Did You Know... that there is a new book on Romanian posters?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 05/02/2011 This new book entitled "The Silver Screen in the Golden Age: Romanian Film Posters 1965-1989" was written by Christopher Landry ("an American producer and assistant director of nearly 100 motion pictures" and who "is also an active writer and researcher of film history, producing numerous movie soundtrack albums and restorations of film scores"). The book was published by NOI Media Print in 2010, contains 208 pages with hundreds of full-color poster images from around the world of Romanian films, is presented in both Romanian and English, is printed on a very nice paper stock, and is a hardboard volume. The book is divided into sections such as "Of Posters and Politics", "The Epic", "The Comedy", "Profile: Ion Stendl", etc. There are many unique and wonderful images in the book that we've never seen before! The book is not yet available through Amazon, but it can be found for sale for 24 Euros at various European websites simply by searching for it in Google.
