As we added first a second and then a third set of weekly auctions, that "ship time" grew to be 3 to 5 working days, which certainly does not compare to Amazon's lightning fast shipping, but please remember that, unlike Amazon, we are not pulling items off a shelf, but only auction one-of-a-kind items that must be individually gathered together for each and every order! And remember that this process is GREATLY complicated by our super generous "Pay and Hold", which lets ANY buyer pay for the cost of their items only, but wait up until 12 weeks goes by to combine all they get into a single box or tube (whenever possible). Since many of our buyers will have accumulated dozens (or more) items over that 12 weeks' time, it is much harder to assemble each order, and get all the various shipping options we offer. But you can greatly help us to get all orders sent out much faster, by paying attention to one condition we ask you all to abide by! What is that "one condition"? It is for NO ONE to say they are done purchasing, request shipping quotes for their items, and THEN, email us a day or several days later and say they won another item or items (or that they are now bidding on other items) so please "cancel" the quote request, so the new items can be repacked! THE PROBLEM IS, ONCE YOU REQUEST SHIPPING QUOTES, WE IMMEDIATELY PULL YOUR ITEMS AND PACK THEM, AND THEN EMAIL YOU THE QUOTES. Adding additional items may not SEEM like "a big deal", but it is, for two reasons. One is that we then have to completely unpack the package, add the new items, and then get new quotes, because even a few added ounces may raise the totals. But the second is that, if it were just one or two people requesting this, we could surely accommodate them. But actually, it is a significant percentage of buyers who do this (perhaps one out of five), and since we usually send 50 to 100 packages a day, this means dozens of packages are being repacked on a daily basis, which is really slowing us down! BUT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO PREVENT THIS IS TO ONLY CLICK THE "REQUEST SHIPPING QUOTES" BUTTON WHEN YOU ARE READY TO HAVE YOUR ITEMS SENT! If there is ANY chance you might find added items to bid on, PLEASE solely pay for the items (and ask that they be added to Pay and Hold). Not only will this let us send your orders (and get you shipping quotes) FAR faster, but over time, you will find you have spent FAR less to ship your winnings, which means you have much more to spend on purchases!
