eMoviePoster.comDid you know... that, we are getting our best results EVER, and yet we are running SOMEWHAT low on consignments for our "regular" auctions?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 05/11/2020 As reported in our bi-weekly club message, our April Major Auction had sensational results. And that HAS resulted in LOTS of new consignments for our July Major Auction (even though the final deadline is three weeks away!). But we have been receiving fewer than normal consignments to our "regular" auctions. Why is this? Oddly, it seems mostly to be a difficulty in sending them to us. A couple of consignors had been planning on bringing an entire truck of consignments here, but have now postponed their trips. And others have reported holding off on sending consignments due to possible complications by the delivery companies (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex). BUT AS OF NOW, WE HAVE NOT BEEN SEEING ANY SUCH COMPLICATIONS! All the packages sent to us have been arriving just fine, although, as with our sending of packages, some have been delayed somewhat. But NOT ONE PACKAGE has gone missing! But certainly I can understand that some people have difficulty in getting their shipments on their way. But there has been one great "silver lining" out of this, which is that this slowdown in regular consignments is allowing us to get more and more older consignments auctioned, which means that when you send a new consignment, we are mostly now able to get ALL you send into the very next auctions of those sizes. The only exception to this is "miscellaneous items" (items that don't fit in our regular auctions, like programs, heralds, etc), and also less valuable stills (people keep sending us thousands of those). But the switch to bi-weekly auctions has freed me up to sort such items, and we have been processing more and more of them, and I will keep doing so until EVERY old consignment has been auctioned! But if YOU have been considering consigning a LOT of items, know that right now, we CAN get them quickly to auction! Given that, and given that we have the most and best buyers we have ever had, and given that we charge the lowest commissions of ANY major auction, you have NEVER had a better time to consign.
