I would imagine you have all noticed that, in most of our bi-weekly auctions, we have combined what used to be TWO or THREE of our "old" regular weekly auctions. For example, we used to auction single lobby cards in one set of auctions, and single 8" x 10" stills in a different set of auctions, but NOW, we auction both of those at the same time.

Thanks to our "Search Filters". this allows you to have the best of both worlds! Since both types are in one set of auctions, you can use the Search Filters to search BOTH lobby cards and stills at once. So, for example, if you wanted to see all the Boris Karloff items of both types (or horror/sci-fi, or 1930s, or whatever!), then you would just click on that Search Filter, and you will see all there is of both types.

But what if you SOLELY want to search the lobby cards, or ONLY the stills? There ARE Search Filters for each of these sizes, but there are some "unusual" types that get left out of those. For example, with stills, those auctions also contain English FOH LCs and 8x10 mini LCs, and those sizes get left out of the Search Filter for just "stills".

So we created new Search Filters for these "combination" auctions! When you now look at the Search Filters for the lobby card and still auction, you NOW see this:

• Lobby Cards and similar 900
• lobby card 885
• 8x10 stills and similar 500
• 8x10 still471
• English 8x10 still 17
• photolobby 8
• 11x14 still 7
• English Front of House LC 7
• 8x10 lobby card 5

The added Search Filters are the "Lobby Cards and similar" and the "8x10 stills and similar". Each of these contains more items than the Filter for solely lobby cards and solely stills, because they incorporate those unusual sizes. Once you are in one of these filters, you can then search within those records by using the "Search Within" box at the top right of the gallery.

The same is true for our auctions of non-U.S. posters AND "special" rolled posters AND rolled one-sheets, which contain three types we used to auction in three separate weekly auctions. Now that they are all combined into one, we have created three new Search Filters for each type, like this:

• Rolled 1-sheets and similar 484
• one-sheet 483
• Special Posters and similar 430
• Non-U.S. and similar    263
• special poster 91
• war poster  67
• travel poster 67
• Spanish  66
• Danish  44
• museum/art exhibition poster 36
• art print 36

and it is the "... and similar" links that let you filter to just each of the three sizes. This is not a giant change, but for those of you who try to look over all of each type that interest you, this will prove VERY helpful to you. We always look for new ways to improve our auctions in any way we can think of!
