But of course, not every buyer wants to wait the full eight weeks. Maybe the item is a present, or they just want it sooner. Anyone can at any time request a shipping quote for their purchases to date, and we will gather them all together, and pack them, and then email you back quotes for those items (this process usually takes from several days up to around ten days, because, with letting buyers wait up to 8 weeks, we now have to do so much more "combining" than we used to). But we have been having a problem that has been slowing us down a lot, and I want to call your attention to it, so we can greatly reduce it, and thereby greatly speed up our packing, quoting, and shipping. What is the problem? It is that a fair number of buyers are clicking on "Request a Shipping Quote", and then after we get the quotes to them, they either say, "Wait, I will be bidding on some more items" or they say "Since I asked for the quote I won another item, so please add that in too". The problem with this is that we then have to open the package or tube, add in the additional item(s), and then re-quote it (because sometimes the extra item(s) changes the cost), and then re-email the quotes. To any one buyer, this may seem like "no big deal", but the problem is that when you have to do five or ten or more times EVERY day, it greatly slows us down. So we now have to make it clear to every buyer that you should NEVER request a shipping quote unless you are certain you are ready to have your order shipped, because once you request the quotes, WE CAN'T REPACK YOUR ORDER AND ADD ADDITIONAL PURCHASES!
