Three and a half years ago, when we at eMoviePoster.com held our ONE MILLIONTH auction, we gave the buyer of that exact auction a bonus gift of $1,000 of our fixed price posters!

This week we held our ONE AND A HALF MILLIONTH auction, so naturally we announced we would give the buyer of that exact auction a gift of $1,500 of our fixed price posters!

We kept the exact date when that set of auctions including the 1,500,000th auction super-secret, so that the winner of that auction would truly be someone who bought entirely at random, and so that it might even be someone who only bought one $1 item.

Well that auction closed Tuesday, and we VERY carefully figured out exactly which item it was, and lo and behold, the winner of that auction was none other than one of the mainstays of the hobby, Ed Poole, co-owner (with his wonderful wife Sue) of the great website, LearnAboutMoviePosters.com!

Even though he has been in collectibles forever, Ed still buys just a few items here and there (because once you are a collector, you never lose the urge to keep collecting), and in this case it was a $16 lobby card (bought with two much less expensive ones) that won him this $1,500 prize!

But for those of the rest of our 14,767 current active registered users who did not win this time, know that, at the rate we auction, it will take just 3 1/2 more years for us to hold our TWO MILLIONTH auction, and we will give the winner of that exact auction a $2,000 prize!
