eMoviePoster.comDid you know why consignments (and every package containing collectibles of any kind) should always be sent wrapped in plastic?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 03/20/2018 This week, we received a large box of consignments from the U.K., filled with many hundreds of vintage 8x10 "Front of House lobby cards". Sadly, the box was badly mishandled all the way, and it REALLY took a beating, as seen in the pictures below. But even worse, the package took on a lot of water (maybe it went for a swim in the Atlantic Ocean?), and when it arrived with "RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION" stickers on it, we feared the worst, that all the items would be stuck together and ruined. But because this consignor had very carefully wrapped the package and sealed all the items in plastic, NOTHING inside was damaged from the water! LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ALL OF YOU! Always wrap the collectibles you send in plastic before you send them (whether to consign them to us or send them anywhere else) and then you will have taken a giant step towards protecting them on their journey!
