We received the following question recently:

"eMoviePoster.com is a wonderful site, but I have one issue that wish could be changed. I have noticed that posters that are currently for sale have the viewing option of "view super size image", which I really appreciate because you can see fine details. However, I have been disappointed many times when I look at past sales because the only viewing option is "large image", which is far less sharp and large compared to the super size image. I'm sure this sounds like an insignificant request, but I would really appreciate it if past sales could be viewed super sized, because I find it important to see them in detail too. Thank you for your time."

We replied:

"This is Bruce, the owner. You may not know that it costs a lot of money when you have a website with well over a million images, as we do. And they charge by "bandwidth", and those super-sized images take up far more bandwidth than the regular ones. So if we had those super-sized images on our images permanently, it would likely triple or quadruple the fees we currently pay, which are very high!

We have considered having a "pay" section of our website that would contain the super-sized images, plus other special features. But would enough people be willing to pay a small monthly fee in order to gain access to that? So that is the short answer to your question."

Right now, our entire website is completely free to everybody. We know that virtually every collector and dealer who has been in the hobby for any length of time uses it on a regular basis, and even competing auction houses do too! There is not even one remotely comparable site anywhere, and we highly recommend everyone make the most of it while it is still completely free to use (and you don't even have to sign up to use it)!
