Did You Know... that we can send your purchases directly to the linenbacker of your choice?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 01/11/2016 A lot of our buyers ask us if we have a linenbacking service on our premises. We do not! We are so busy auctioning hundreds of thousands of items a year that this is the very LAST thing we would consider trying to add. However, we can and will send your purchases directly to the linenbacker of your choice, but of course, once the linenbacker has started working on your poster (or if more than one week goes by after the linenbacker receives it) then you lose the ability to return the poster because of condition defects. But doing this saves you a LOT of shipping money, because instead of sending the item to you, and then you send it to the linenbacker and then they send it back to you, it just makes one trip instead of three. Also, this way you get to choose the backer of YOUR choice. You may not know, but some linenbackers perform minimal restoration, some do more moderate restoration, and some (including the one most used by one of the top auction houses) often practically "dips the posters in paint"! You likely have noticed that we auction a LOT of posters in need of restoration (so that bidders can better see exactly the condition the items are in, plus this allows them to use the restorer of their choice (and there is a HUGE skill and price difference between all the restorers). So the next time you purchase one or more posters from us that you are planning to restore, be sure to consider asking us to ship directly to your restorer! See Also:
