eMoviePoster.com was founded in 1999 as the first all-movie poster auction website. We have auctioned well over 1.8 MILLION posters (movie and NON-movie), lobby cards, stills and related items through our auctions since 1999, surely the most of any online auction!

This email club started in August 1998, when I sent an email to around 40 collectors I knew (see that first historic club message here: https://www.emovieposter.com/club/returnmessage.php?id=1). I posted about it on several online forums, and by the third message it had 258 members!

At that time, I had not yet begun selling online at all! It would be almost a full year before I began listing items on eBay, and many of you will be surprised to know that at first I listed just as much on Amazon, which in 1999 was trying to compete with eBay on collectibles!

If you have never done so, I URGE all of you to go to https://www.emovieposter.com/club/archive.php and start reading over the previous 998 club messages, ALL of which are archived at the above page. I think you will be amazed at how much great content there is, on every subject imaginable, and reading through them also serves as a mini-history of the hobby over the past 30 years! If you don't have the time to skim over them, there is also a "search" on the same link above.

Also, did you know that all of our past 'did you knows' are available online in an archive at https://www.emovieposter.com/tips_archive.php We've been including Did You Know articles in this club now for 422 messages, and together they serve as a collection of "frequently asked questions", "site updates", and "movie paper info".

You can browse all previous Did You Know topics from newest to oldest. When you go to the archive, you will see the topic of each Did You Know. You may click on each topic to see the full details of what is contained within. You can also search all 422 past "Did You Knows" at one time at https://www.emovieposter.com/tips_archive.php?searchterms=

You can get a LOT more knowledgeable in a hurry by browsing the Auction History at https://www.emovieposter.com/club/archive.php and also by browsing the Did You Know Archive today.

ALSO NOTE THAT ONCE OUR AUCTIONS GO TO EVERY FOUR WEEKS, THESE CLUB EMAILS WILL BE EVERY FOUR WEEKS  AS WELL, FOR TWO REASONS:

1) A big part of the shift from weekly auctions to bi-weekly ones to every four week ones is my desire to work less, and be able to take more trips and vacations. Only having to prepare a club message every four weeks rather than every two week will help me do that!

2) After 999 near weekly messages, most of what could be discussed HAS been discussed. Rather than repeat the same information, I would much rather you find the answers for yourself by using the club archive page (or the search of the past messages) at https://www.emovieposter.com/club/archive.php and search the 'did you knows' https://www.emovieposter.com/tips_archive.php?searchterms=
