As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you each week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES!

This week, I have the pressbook from Thanks for the Memory, the 1938 George Archainbaud romantic musical ("Screen Play by Lynn Sterling"; "Based on a Play by Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich"; "The hit SONG of the year... is now the hit PICTURE of the year!"; "BOB HOPE and SHIRLEY ROLL, the romantic team that sold the song 'Thanks for the Memory', return to sell - BIG - a heart-warming love story of two Babes in Manhattan!") starring Bob Hope, Shirley Ross, Charles Buttersworth, Otto Kruger, Hedda Hopper, and Patricia Wilder (billed as "Patricia 'Honey Chile' Wilder"). Note that Bob Hope's trademark song was "Thanks For the Memories"!.
