Cool Item Of the Week: Brenda Starr, Reporter pressbook coversReturn to Cool Item of the Month Archive Added: 07/04/2011 As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you each week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES! This week, I have the pressbook from "Brenda Starr, Reporter", the 1945 Wallace Fox crime newspaper reporter journalism serial ("A Columbia Chapter Play"; "Based upon the comic strip 'Brenda Starr, Reporter' created by Dale Messick") starring Joan Woodbury (in the title role as Brenda Starr), Kane Richmond, Syd Saylor, Joe Devlin, George Meeker, Ernie Adams, William 'Billy' Benedict, and Wheeler Oakman. movie had a completely different image for every single
poster, and that this pressbook had a really cool full-color cover image that
was different from the posters! Each week I will showcase a different pressbook (or related item) from my collection (so in just 25,000 weeks or so, I will have shared the entire collection with you!).
