Cool Item Of the Month: Wild Beasts At Bay pressbookReturn to Cool Item of the Month Archive Added: 06/06/2022 As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you this week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES! This week, I have the pressbook from Wild Beasts At Bay, the 1946 (released in the U.S. by Cosmopolitan Pictures in 1947) Russian hunting sports jungle adventure thriller ("Men defied the perils of jungles and icy wastelands to give you this thrill of a lifetime"; "Sensational! Thrilling! Breath-taking! The wildest adventures ever filmed!"; "From the arctic to the jungles of Africa. In one night!"). Note that the poster for this movie shows elephants, a tiger, lions, and an antelope, but no arctic animals!
