Cool Item Of the Week: After the Dance pressbookReturn to Cool Item of the Month Archive Added: 03/01/2021 As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you this week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES! This week, I have the pressbook from After the Dance, the 1935 Leo Bulgakov romantic musical dancing prison escape crime melodrama ("America's New Joy Friends!"; based on the story by Harrison Jacobs; about a prisoner who goes on the run to see his dying mother, and he ends up hiding with a chorus girl; they fall in love, but his past catches up to him) starring Nancy Carroll, George Murphy, Thelma Todd, Jack La Rue, Arthur Hohl, and The Albertina Rasch Dancers.
