As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you each week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES!

This week, I have the pressbook from College Holiday, the 1936 Frank Tuttle college university school comedy (about a woman who runs a summer resort, and she invites very intelligent and physically gifted college students of both sexes to stay there, hoping that they will pair off and that their wonderful genes will produce "perfect" children; this story of a framework that allows the top comics in the movie to perform long comic routines; this "science" of making perfect children was called "Eugenics", and it was popular in the middle 1930s, but Adolf Hitler's adopting of this caused it to dramatically fall out of favor, and afterwards, it was pretty much a taboo subject!) starring Jack Benny, George Burns, Gracie Allen (Burns & Allen), Mary Boland, Martha Raye, Marsha Hunt, Eleanore Whitney, Johnny Downs, and Leif Erickson (in one of his early minor roles)
