About the condition of these items
We give a detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and only a few which are "good" or lesser) along with more details about the condition described in words (where we thought additional details were needed, because the defects were hard to see).  We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily.  Of course, we could not describe every single defect, so we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the still for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

If an item is in less than very good condition, should you not bid on it? Of course not, as long as you are accepting of the defects the item has! The item that is graded "very good", but has as many minor defects as is allowed under the "very good" definition is only in SLIGHTLY better condition than the best of the "good to very good" items. So please take the time to look at the larger images of items that interest you, and see if the defects are the sort that you can "live with", or are willing to restore. Some of these items are EXTREMELY rare, and it may be years before you see them offered again!

An important message to all of our buyers about shipping methods (be sure to read this):

As we are sure you are well aware, the service from the Post Office has gone from bad to worse to downright awful over the past year, and that has now caused us to make UPS our default shipper (we explain this in full at the following link:Did you know... that the Post Office's record on delivery, damage, and payment on claims has gone SO far downhill that we are now making UPS our default shipper?.

We have analyzed the performance of the Post Office and UPS (United Parcel Service) and we find that UPS does so much of a better job that we want all our customers to use it, because:
1) UPS has NOT been leaving packages (WITH Signature Confirmation paid for) on the recipient's porch as the Post Office has.
2) While we have had a very few UPS packages damaged, it is a tiny percentage of the amount of that of the Post Office (both degree of damage, and number of claims).
3) UPS DOES pay insurance claims, both for damage and loss, and in a timely fashion. In the most extreme case yet, we had a $11,500 tube vanish, and they paid the insurance in full, 3 weeks after it went missing.
4) While UPS's tracking is far from perfect, it is light years ahead of the Post Office. Packages tend to not update in their tracking for a day or two at the worst, compared to the Post Office's weeks or months.
5) We have a dedicated UPS representative, who DOES return our phone calls and emails, and HAS (over and over) gotten problems resolved (and often quickly)

WHAT DOES ALL THIS ADD UP TO? Effective October 27th, we will advise all our customers to only use UPS, and NOT the Post Office, EXCEPT in the following situations:
1) If your package is both very light (under 4 pounds) and not very expensive, it will be enough cheaper by Post Office that we will offer our customers a Post Office option
2) If your only shipping address is a Post Office box, we will offer our customers a Post Office option, because UPS won't deliver to Post Office boxes
3) If your package is going to a country where you feel the Post Office is a much better option than UPS, we will offer our customers a Post Office option (but know that those international customers who have had packages sent via UPS have reported it is far faster than the Post Office).

This is all part of our desire to get our packages and tubes sent via the fastest, safest and fully insured method, and after long experience, we feel certain that UPS offers this the best, and that switching almost exclusively to them will result in fewer damaged packages, faster deliveries, and full insurance payments o losses!

AND REMEMBER THAT AS OF NOW, JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING IS STILL GETTING TO ITS DESTINATION, SO LET'S BE THANKFUL FOR THAT!

An important message to all of our buyers about how quickly we can send orders (be sure to read this):

In our three current sets of auctions we will have had over FIVE THOUSAND auctions end, and they include every size and type of poster and all sorts of related items, and include LOTS of extremely valuable items. There is NO WAY we can pack and ship everything in just a few days, and in fact it will take us a total of two weeks (give or take) to get every single item packed and quoted to the buyers. So PLEASE be understanding of this! We WILL be packing hundreds of orders each day after the auctions close, and it is the "luck of the draw" as to whether your order is packed early on or near the end. But you can "JUMP TO THE TOP OF THE STACK" by paying a $15 RUSH FEE, so please request this if you really want your quotes (and your package) sent to you VERY quickly. We know everyone wants their order sent ASAP, but we also know everyone wants them packed very carefully and safely, so thanks for realizing this.

U.S. Shipping Details

U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order plus $4 per tube or box, for both the best packaging materials you have ever seen (you can choose either the U.S. Post Office or UPS (since you are paying it, you can choose the method you prefer). All U.S. orders will be sent fully insured.

Our Pay and Hold Program (see below for how this works) allows you to have your purchases sent every SIXTEEN weeks, which means we will only send you packages around three times a year, but you MUST pay for your purchases every two weeks, even though they may not be shipped for 16 weeks. We urge all of our customers to join the Pay and Hold Program, because it really saves you a massive amount on shipping!

Missouri, California, Washington, and Illinois customers: If your order is sent within these states, we MUST collect sales tax, and we will do so automatically (unless you have a Reseller Certificate from your state in which case you need to reply to this email with a copy of that Certificate, so you can be exempted from the sales tax).

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 16 consecutive weeks (a total of 12 auctions and around 16,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click HERE to learn more about becoming one of the hundreds of our U.S. buyers who are already part of this program.

Do you need "signature required"?
Neither UPS nor USPS automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $5.00 for UPS or $2.60 for USPS that they charge for "signature required", and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package at the door, and you may well have to go to the UPS or USPS facility yourself to pick it up if you aren't there to meet the delivery person. If you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order. IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED (unless your package has a dollar value over $100, in which case we will ALWAYS send it with signature required, due to the massive rise in "porch thefts", unless you specifically tell us not to, and you will need to fully accept responsibility for the package if it is stolen from your porch or lobby)!

You CAN usually combine shipment!

NOTE: These items need to be sent in flat packages so...

*they can be combined with these auctions:

Tuesday October 26th items that ship in flat packages
Sunday October 31st most of the non-linen items that ship in flat packages
Tuesday November 23rd items that ship in flat packages
Sunday November 28th most of the bulk lots that ship in flat packages
Tuesday December 21st items that ship in flat packages
Sunday December 26th most of items that ship in flat packages

*they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:

Thursday October 28th items that ship rolled in tubes
Sunday October 31st items that ship
rolled in tubes
Tuesday November 25th items that ship rolled in tubes
Sunday November 28th bulk lots that ship rolled in tubes
Thursday December 23rd items that ship rolled in tubes
Sunday December 26th items that ship rolled in tubes packages

Note that (if you join our Pay and Hold Program) we allow you to wait to have your purchases shipped until a total of twelve auctions have ended so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible; see Learn More About Combining), and that means there is a chance you could combine all those items, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package, but of course, there is a limit to how many items can fit in a single package or tube, and if you end up with several packages, you will need to pay that many shipping charges; Learn More About Combining). Since around half of our auctions have items that ship in tubes and the other half have items that ship in flat packages, and since few of those two types of items can be combined, most of our regular buyers end up with at least two packages after twelve weeks. We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do (and of course, there are others who charge far more!), but none of the ones with lower rates offer the same generous combined shipping we do, and we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (plus $4 per tube or box for packaging materials)!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or Airmail), plus $4 per tube or box, for both the best packaging materials you have ever seen and a separate printed invoice mailed to you. All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 16 consecutive weeks (a total of 12 auctions and around 16,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click HERE to learn more about becoming one of the hundreds of our U.S. buyers who are already part of this program.

Learn more about how to save money on shipping by shipping to friends/family in the U.S., insurance, and customs fees.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!

Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the United States?
Some of our customers either visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON SHIPPING (but bear in mind that, depending on the state, we might have to then charge U.S. sales tax)! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (plus $4 per tube or box for packaging materials)!
