Details About These Items
About this special auction of 912 autographed items This is the
33rd "all-signed" auction
from eMoviePoster.com! It contains 912 signed
items of all types, while it mostly contains autographs of movie-related celebrities, there are also some from celebrities in other fields as well! We can't imagine anyone who has the slightest interest in
autographed items not finding several items to bid on, and more likely, you may
find that there are so many items of interest to you that it is hard to decide
which ones you most want to pursue.
About the authenticity of the 912 autographed items being offered A high percentage of the autographed items come to us from
many different collectors/dealers who spent decades acquiring their
autographs. We have put a paragraph (or sentence) on each
auction, giving the history of how the consignor obtained the autograph (to
whatever degree we know).
IN EVERY CASE, WE HAVE GIVEN ALL OF THE INFORMATION WE KNOW ABOUT WHERE THE
AUTOGRAPH WAS OBTAINED IN THE AUCTION DESCRIPTION FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM.
Some
of the
items come with a "Certificate of Authenticity", and we have
provided an image of those, and identified the name of the issuer of that
certificate (but know that there are "good" people who issue such certificates and people who may
not be "good", so don't automatically assume that having this means the item is authentic; you
can research the person who issued it by searching for them on the Internet). IF THERE IS NO CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY PICTURED, THEN ONE
DOES NOT COME WITH THE ITEM. Please read over each auction description carefully, so you will
know all we know about the provenance of that item.
KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT "AUTOGRAPH EXPERTS"! We strongly suggest
that all bidders do whatever research they want to do about the autographs
BEFORE placing bids (such as comparing the signatures to other known
signatures found on the Internet).
But we also know how hard it is to be certain of an autograph's
authenticity when you are not seeing the item in person. So, to make certain
that we only have satisfied buyers, we will
give anyone who purchases any of these a 30 day return privilege (from the
date the auction closes) on any of these autographed items, and of
course, that gives every buyer plenty of time to be 100% certain that they
have purchased a genuine autograph! But realize that you can't return items AFTER 30 days (from the auction's closing), so be sure to do whatever
checking and authenticating you need to do either before the auction ends, or within the 30 days.
Of course, we don't want people returning items because
they "changed their minds", and it is vital that any returned items must be
returned safely (ideally in the same packing) and received in the exact same
condition it was sent, and the return offer will expire exactly 30 days after
the auction closes (because we must pay our consignors, and there will be no exceptions).
Just over SEVENTYFIVE PERCENT of the items offered
are vintage items, which means that just under TWENTYFIVE PERCENT of the items are later reproductions (but
some of the reproductions date from as far back as the 1960s), and WE ALWAYS CLEARLY
IDENTIFY WHICH IS WHICH, AND WE PUT THE REPRODUCTIONS IN SEPARATE SECTIONS AT THE END OF THE AUCTIONS, SO AS TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE CLEAR.
But, IN EVERY CASE, every one of these items was actually personally signed
by the person listed (if the item is a reproduction, then it means the person signed it after it was created, and the signature itself is NEVER
"reproduced")! We know they make wonderful special gifts to those
friends or family who you know really like a specific celebrity!

About the shipping of items in this set of auctions
Due to the different types of packages the items in this auction ship in, some items will ship in flat packages,
some will ship rolled in tubes, and all will be the "actual cost of shipping" even
for those in the U.S. (see below for why) We have noted in the above chart and on each individual item's auction page
how they will be shipped. We will be sure to combine items into a single package whenever
possible.
About the
condition We give a detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and only a few which are less than "good to very good") along with more details about the condition described in words (where we thought additional details were needed, because the defects were hard to see). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, so we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the
still for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
About surface scuffs and creasing on
stills As anyone who looks at old photos knows, twenty to eighty year old photos are almost certain to pick up faint scuffs and creases in the surface emulsion of the photo. Vintage stills are the same way. But when these creases and scuffs are light, you can't see them when you look directly at the still from straight on, but you CAN see them when you tilt the still to the light. We don't consider this a major defect, because we don't know anyone who displays their stills tilted to the light. So if a still has minor scuffs and creases that are not very visible when it is viewed straight on, we still grade it as "very good or very good to fine" (or a higher grade). The only exception to this is if there are scuffs and creases throughout the entire still. Then we grade it as "lesser" (or a lower grade), even if the scuffs and creases are not visible when looked at straight on. We DO feel most collectors can accept minor surface scuffs and creases that can hardly be seen from straight on and are relatively minor. If you disagree, you probably should think long and hard before bidding on the stills that we grade as "lesser", or "very good or very good to fine" (but you still likely will be happy with the stills we grade as "fine or better", because we won't give a still those grades if there are scuffs in the surface emulsion that are at all visible when the still is viewed head-on).

U.S. Shipping Details
THERE IS AN IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS ONLY
(this "all signed" auction). The items being
auctioned ship either rolled in tubes or in flat packages, and you should refer to each individual auction page or the
chart above to know how it will be
shipped. After winning and depending on what you win, you may need to
request a shipping quote through our
Checkout
system.
Learn the exact
details of flat rate shipping
U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order plus $3,
for both the best packaging materials you have ever seen (you can choose
either the U.S. Post Office or UPS (since you are paying it, you can choose
the method you prefer). All U.S. orders will be sent fully insured.
NOTE: In the past, we offered a
"flat rate" shipping price on some of our auctions. We no longer have this,
for two reasons. One is that the shipping companies have
drastically raised their rates many times in the past few years, so we were
losing lots of money with our flat rate. The other more important reason
is that our Pay and Hold Program (see below for how this works) allows you
to have your purchases sent every TWELVE weeks, which means we will only send
you packages four times a year, and almost all of those packages were
already being charged the actual cost anyway. We urge all of our
customers to join the Pay and Hold Program (see below for how), because it really saves you a
massive amount on shipping!
Missouri,
Arizona, California,
Washington, Illinois, North Carolina, and Ohio customers: If your order is sent within these states, we MUST
collect sales tax, and we will do so automatically (unless you have a Reseller
Certificate from your state in which case you need to reply to this email with
a copy of that Certificate, so you can be exempted from the sales tax).
Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program?
This lets all buyers pay for their purchases from 12 consecutive weeks
(a total of 18 auctions and around 24,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click

about becoming one of the hundreds of our U.S. buyers who are already
part of this program.
Do you need "signature required"?
Neither
UPS nor USPS automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the
signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $5.00 for UPS or $2.60 for USPS that
they charge for "signature required", and please realize that they will then NOT leave
the package at the door, and you may well have to go to the UPS or USPS facility yourself to
pick it up if you aren't there to meet the delivery person. If you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for
your order. IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE
SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED (unless your
package has a dollar value over $300, in which case we will ALWAYS send it
with signature required, due to the massive rise in "porch thefts", unless
you specifically tell us not to, and you will need to fully accept
responsibility for the package if it is stolen from your porch or lobby)!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These items need to be sent both rolled
and flat so...
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT COMBINING: We will combine bulk lots with
other purchases when possible, but because many bulk lots contain lots of
items, it is not always possible to combine them;
Learn More About Combining).
*items marked as "flat" shipping might be able to be combined with these items (but know that if they can't
be combined into a single package, then we will ship them in separate packages for the actual cost of shipping):
Thursday January 23rd window card, French, Italian, 3sh, 6sh, & more
Sunday January 26th folded one sheets and folded non-U.S. posters and LCs
Tuesday February 4th all signed items and all sorts of miscellaneous items
Thursday February 6th sets of lobby cards and stills
Thursday February 20th the items that ship in flat packages in Part II of our February Major Auction
Sunday February 23rd the posters, lobby cards, and more that ship in flat packages in Part III of our February Major Auction
Thursday March 5th single lobby cards and stills
Sunday March 8th bulk lots that might be combinable
if they ship flat
Tuesday March 19th window cards, Italian, French, 3sh, 6sh, and similar
Sunday March 22nd folded one sheets, folded non-U.S. and non-U.S. lobbies
*items marked as "rolled" shipping might be able to be combined with these items (but know that if they
can't be combined into a single package, then we will ship them in separate packages for the actual cost of shipping):
Thursday February 20th the unbacked items that ship in oversized
tubes in Part II of our February Major Auction
Sunday February 23rd the rolled posters that ship in standard
tubes in Part III of our February Major Auction
Tuesday March 3rd inserts, half-sheets, and small rolled non-U.S. posters
Sunday March 8th bulk lots that ship rolled
Tuesday March 17th rolled one-sheets, non-U.S., and special posters
*they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:
Tuesday February 18th linenbacked posters
(all of which ship rolled in
standard size tubes) in Part I of our February Major Auction
|
Note that (if you join our Pay and Hold Program) we allow
you to wait to have your purchases shipped until a total of twelve auctions
have ended
so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if
possible; see
Learn More
About Combining), and that means there is a chance you could combine
all those items, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items
fit into the same type of package, but of course, there is a limit to how many items can fit in
a single package or tube, and if you end up with several packages, you will need to pay that
many shipping charges;
Learn More About Combining). Since around half of our auctions have items that ship in
tubes and the other half have items that ship in flat packages, and since few of those
two types of items can
be combined, most of our regular buyers end up with at least two packages after
twelve weeks. We
KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do (and of
course, there are others who charge far more!), but none of the ones with lower rates offer the
same generous combined shipping we do, and we know that our packaging is the best there is, and
our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S.
packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (plus $3 for packaging
materials)!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order
(you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post
Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or
Airmail), plus $3, for both the best packaging materials you have ever seen
and a separate printed invoice mailed to you.
All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or
uninsured at the time they pay for their order.

Here is a chart containing estimated
shipping charges for up to 3 items from this set of auctions. NOTE:
These are ESTIMATES only; actual shipping may cost more or less.
ALSO NOTE THAT THESE ESTIMATED RATES ARE FOR ITEMS
THAT SHIP IN STANDARD SIZE FLAT PACKAGES OR SMALLER; IF YOU WIN ITEMS THAT SHIP IN LARGER "FLAT"
PACKAGES, THEY WILL COST
CONSIDERABLY MORE TO SHIP;
Also note that some items are REALLY large and will cost $100 or more to ship overseas, so please bear this in mind before bidding on these
"actual cost of shipping" items)
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more
for each additional $100 of insurance) |

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these
approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order. Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the United States?
Some of our customers either visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or
relatives within the U.S., and often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S.
address, and then they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON
SHIPPING (but bear in mind that, depending on the state, we might have to
then charge U.S. sales tax)! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let us know within one
week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't use this method unless you are certain
you will want to keep your purchases.
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (plus $3 for packaging
materials)!
