About the shipping of our current 999 items
All of the posters we are currently auctioning are "somewhat
oversized", meaning that almost all of them can't be sent in our regular standard-sized flat
mailers (and NONE of them can be rolled in a tube). This means you will have to pay $14
U.S. shipping rather than our standard $12 U.S. shipping, because the packages are larger and
cost us at least $2 more to send. If you live outside the U.S., the rates will surely be higher
than our standard sized packages, and maybe quite a bit more, depending on how many posters you
purchase.
About the Italian one- and two-panel posters
In this set of auctions, we offer a large quantity of Italian
one- and two-panel posters. But we also offer some of these sizes when we auction "very oversized posters"
(like window cards). What is the difference? In this set of auctions, ALL of the Italian
one- and two-panel posters have been folded over "an extra time", which means they are close in size
(when folded) to U.S. three-sheets and six-sheets. When we are consigned Italian one- and
two-panel posters that have NOT been folded "an extra time", we auction them with window cards and
other "very oversized" posters, which need to go in much larger flat packages.
About "somewhat oversized" posters
In this set of auctions, we are auctioning a very large number of
"somewhat oversized" posters, including some very scarce titles, some of which may never have
been at auction before. Most of the posters we are selling were actually used in a theater (all
were printed intended for theater-use, but some never made it out of the poster exchange that
distributed them, and on the few that appear to have been never used, we clearly note that in
the item's condition), and they have defects typical with those acquired by a poster that has
been attached to a wall and then taken down again. Some of the posters were used in theaters in
other parts of the world, and some of those have "censor stamps" on them (but, unlike one-sheets
with censor stamps, most oversized posters with censor stamps are stamped in unobtrusive places,
often in the blank background areas; in addition, sometimes the censor stamps are relatively
very small on these larger posters and are much less noticeable than they would be on
one-sheets). MOST COLLECTORS OF THESE POSTERS ARE ACCEPTING OF THE DEFECTS THAT THEATER-USED
LARGER POSTERS ACQUIRE, BUT IF YOU ARE NOT, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BID ON THESE POSTERS (unless
they are one of the ones we marked as having been never used). Most collectors of oversized
posters have them linenbacked and restored prior to displaying them, and they know that most of
the defects theater-used posters acquire can be fairly easily restored during the linenbacking
process. If you are like most collectors, and can accept the defects that most of these posters
have (which WERE acquired during actual theater use!) then we think you will be very
happy to have this rare opportunity to select from such a huge number of rarely seen larger U.S.
posters!
About our digital images of posters printed in 2 or more pieces, and of larger posters
Some of the items we are offering in this set of auctions are printed
in 2 or more pieces (because they were made before printers had the ability to print such large
posters in one piece, so they were normally printed in two or four pieces; in the late 1970s,
printers began printing three-sheets and some other larger posters in a single piece, and
six-sheets and some other very large posters in two pieces). To give you the best possible idea
of what the poster will look like when the pieces are combined, as intended, we photograph each
piece separately and then digitally "join" the images to show you what the entire poster looks
like (when there are multiple pieces, they are printed with extra blank borders designed to
overlap, so that the pieces can be combined to have a perfect "fit"). BUT THE DOWNSIDE TO
PHOTOGRAPHING THE INDIVIDUAL SECTIONS BY THEMSELVES IS THAT THE LIGHTING IS NOT EXACTLY THE SAME
WHEN WE PHOTOGRAPH EACH PIECE SEPARATELY. Often this leads to one part of the poster
appearing darker (or lighter) than the rest of the poster. THIS IS DUE SOLELY TO THE
LIGHTING AND DOES NOT MEAN ONE PIECE IS "DARKER" THAN ANOTHER! If one of our posters
ACTUALLY has significantly different coloring from one piece to another, we SURELY
note that in words. This same "lighter" and "darker" issue can occur in single piece posters, if
they are very large (like three-sheets that are printed in a single piece), because the poster
is so large that the lighting may vary from one area of the poster to another. But know that any
color difference from one section of a poster to another, or from one portion of the poster to
another, is purely due to photography and is NOT on the actual poster, and when you see
the poster in person, you will see that this is correct!
About the condition
Note that we give a detailed overall condition grade to every item we sell
("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", "good", and only a few less than
"good") along with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much a
general description of the defects, and we only describe specific defects if they are the type
that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We
felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still
strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects
that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

U.S. Shipping Details
U.S. buyers need to enclose $14 shipping (which includes full insurance), no matter how many
items you purchase from this set of auctions! NOTE: Our $14 flat rate shipping is good for three
weeks. If you haven't paid within three weeks after your oldest unshipped purchase, you will
then be quoted the actual cost of shipping
when you request it.
Learn the exact
details of flat rate shipping
Why $14 shipping in this set of auctions?
In this set of auctions only (because we are selling
"somewhat oversized" posters which do not fit in our standard mailers, and will need
to be sent in oversized mailers, or between six heavy pieces of large
cardboard), all U.S. buyers must pay a total of $14 (fourteen) shipping, whether
you buy 1 item or 100 (or any number in-between). Note that we FULLY
INSURE EVERY U.S. order we send! We will spend the shipping collected on
virtually all orders, and we spend far more on those that involve lots of
items and high dollar items.
WE ARE NOT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY ON SHIPPING!
THE $14 LIKELY WILL NOT COVER OUR COST OF SHIPPING
FOR MOST U.S. ORDERS (especially ones that include lots of posters), but we are keeping this special "$14 U.S.
shipping" rate in this set of auctions, as a special discount to our buyers of
multiple items in our auctions, even though this means we will lose money on shipping
a high percentage of U.S. packages!
Do you need "signature required"?
Neither
UPS nor USPS automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the
signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $4.25 for UPS or $2.45 for USPS that
they charge for "signature required", and please realize that they will then NOT leave
the package at the door, and you may well have to go to the UPS or USPS facility yourself to
pick it up if you aren't there to meet the delivery person. But if you prefer this, that is
fine, and if you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for
your order. IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE
SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Tuesday
items need to be sent in oversized flat packages so...
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT COMBINING: Flat rate shipping is good for 3 weeks worth of
purchases (assuming all the items fit into a single package;
Learn More About
Combining). If you win items over a span of more than 21 days, you will then be charged the
actual cost of shipping plus $3 for packing materials.

Thursday May 12th complete and incomplete lobby card sets

*they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:

|
Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of
Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all
of the items (even if you get 100 or more, but solely from a single set!), but we also allow
you to wait until the next three weeks of auctions end (a total of up to nine sets of auctions)
so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if
possible; see
Learn More
About Combining), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to
nine of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items
fit into the same type of package, but of course, there is a limit to how many items can fit in
a single package or tube, and if you end up with several packages, you will need to pay that
many shipping charges;
Learn More About Combining). Since around half of our auctions have items that ship in
tubes and the other half have items that ship in flat packages, and since few of those items can
be combined, most of our regular buyers end up with at least two packages after three weeks. We
KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do (and of
course, there are others who charge far more!), but none of the ones with lower rates offer the
same generous flat rate shipping we do, and we know that our packaging is the best there is, and
our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S.
packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $14 U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of
shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer, but
know that the U.S. Post Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only
send via Express or Airmail), plus $3 for the best packaging materials you
have ever seen. All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the
package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 6 consecutive weeks
(a total of 18 auctions and around 15,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click

non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program)

Here is a chart
containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this set of
auctions
NOTE: These are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may be more or less than
these estimates.
ALSO NOTE: Insurance will increase the cost of shipping by approximately $1.60 for each
$100 of insurance. |

*First Class has a weight limit of 4 lbs so that limits the number of posters that can ship via First Class in
a flat package. If you solely bought three-sheets and/or Argentinean posters, that maximum quantity is approximately three posters (3). If it is
six-sheets, you might be able to get one (1) six-sheet shipped via First Class. But either way, bear in mind that is at the maximum weight of 4 lbs which
is approximately the estimates shown above. |
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Please bear these approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place
a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers
want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost
involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!).
Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a
damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (plus $3 for packaging
materials)!

You Can
Add More to Your Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer many other
non-auction items. Please note that the items in this set of auctions will be sent in
oversized flat packages, so you can add any Fixed Price item(s) that can also be sent
in oversized flat packages for little or no additional shipping costs (NOTE:
if we can add it to your package without raising the cost of shipping, then we will do so with
no added shipping charge, but if it raises the cost OR if it requires additional packages, then
you will need to pay the difference). We have noted below whether items ship rolled, flat, or
both.
