Details About These Thursday Items
About this single owner collection
This collection of 91 Star Wars items contains
almost every style of U.S. one-sheet from the first three movies (episodes IV, V and VI), and not
only does it include both the "NSS style" and the "studio style" from each (where both were made),
but also, EVERY one of those one-sheets are UNFOLDED, and they are ALL in
excellent condition!
Every long time collector of Star Wars material knows that it is next-to-impossible to find
the NSS styles of the one-sheets from the first three Star Wars unfolded, so HOW does this
collection contain almost all of them? The answer is that a single collector, Kevin Doyle, who saw
Star Wars in 1977 and loved the movie then began a decades long quest to obtain all of the US
one-sheets that had been produced.
He soon learned that both "NSS styles" and "studio styles" for almost every style of one-sheet
had been produced. (if YOU don't know what this means, please be sure to go
HERE:
http://www.emovieposter.com/announcements.php?id=738, where you will find a complete
detailed explanation). But he quickly discovered that while all of those one-sheets could be
obtained, it was between extremely difficult and impossible to find the "NSS styles" unfolded.
That started him on a quest to find all of the one-sheets in an unfolded
state, and he WAS able to find them for a high percentage of the different posters. Many of
these NSS style posters are so rare to find unfolded that they are only offered every few years, and
there are some that are never offered! But on May 1st, every one of these posters will have a new
owner, and in the case of several of them, they may not be offered again for a VERY long
time, if ever (three of them are the ONLY examples that has ever been seen of the NSS style
of that poster
without folds, and one of those is the ONLY example of the poster that has ever been seen, folded or
unfolded)!
The collection also includes one-sheets from the "other" three movies
(episodes I, II, and III), and also some unusual and rare posters that are not one-sheets. You will
find many items that are also rarely offered for sale, so be sure to look over all of the 91 items
very carefully. The phrase "once in a lifetime" is certainly drastically overused, but this really
likely IS a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase many Star Wars one-sheets that are
almost never offered unfolded, and they will all be sold at one time on one day!
About the rolled one-sheet posters
Note that most of the posters we are selling this week were
never folded. A very few of the posters were once folded (or partially folded, as in tri-folding),
but all of those have been stored flat for a long time and will be shipped rolled in tubes, along
with the completely unfolded ones. We will NOT re-fold any of the "formerly folded"
posters. WE ALWAYS IDENTIFY WHETHER A POSTER IS UNFOLDED, TRI-FOLDED,
OR FORMERLY FULLY FOLDED WITHIN THE DESCRIPTION FOR EACH ITEM!
About the originality of never folded one-sheets (commonly
referred to as "rolled" or "unfolded")
Many collectors would like to add posters from their favorite movies of
the 1970s onward to their collection, but they rightfully are afraid they will be sold commercial
posters (or reproductions or bootlegs), rather than actual posters either used in theaters or
intended for theater use. WHEN YOU BUY FROM US THIS WEEK, YOU HAVE A GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE
BUYING A GENUINE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER! This is because almost all of these posters come to us
either from theater owners, or from advanced collectors (often ones who purchased the posters right
when the movies first came out), people who know how to distinguish an original poster, and also, we
here at eMoviePoster very carefully scrutinize every poster to make 100% certain it is genuine! But
you don't have to take our word for it! If you purchase
any poster from this set of auctions, and you have the slightest doubts about its originality after
you receive it, it is fine for you to return it for a full refund within 7 days of receipt
(but we virtually never get even a single poster returned, because we reject any poster that is
consigned to us if we have the slightest doubts about it!).
About the condition
Normally when we sell movie paper, we grade the posters on a scale that allows for some defects
typical of 30 to 75-year-old movie posters that were actually used in theaters. Such posters often
have some minor wear at the very least, and it is next to impossible to find posters that have no
wear at all, and it would be silly to have a grading scale where no posters would qualify for "very
good to fine" (or better grades), so we use a more "relaxed" scale that allows for very minor
defects in our "very good to fine" grade. But in this auction, we are
selling a fair number of posters from the past 20 years, and those posters can more often be found
in excellent condition, because there were dealers and collectors who purchased these posters
unused, and kept them in wonderful condition. So for THIS
auction, we grade on a MUCH stricter scale than we do for our folded one-sheet auctions! We
downgrade posters to "very good to fine" for very minor defects (things like a single tiny tear in
the border, or faint creases in the edges). We further downgrade to "very good" posters that have
several of these types of defects, even though the poster would probably qualify as "fine", if it
was from the 1940s! We use this "sliding scale" grading because it
allows us to better convey the poster's true condition to our buyers. If we used the exact same
scale for all posters, then most 1920s posters would be graded as "fair" or "poor", and most 1980s
or 1990s posters would be graded as "fine", and we realize that that benefits nobody!
In this auction, we have given a more detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine",
"very good", "good to very good", "good", and "fair", with only a few "poor") for each poster. We
felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still
strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects.
Know that we generally grade FAR more harshly than any other dealer we know! A 1990s poster
that we grade as "good" or "good to very good" may well be one that many collectors could display on
their wall just as it is, and may well be one that many other dealers would grade as "very good". So
please don't reject a poster because it has a grade of "good" or "good to very good". Please study
our supersized image and see if the defects are the sort that you can accept.

U.S. Shipping Details
THERE IS AN IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS ONLY. The items being
auctioned ship in a variety of ways, and you should refer to each individual auction page to know how it will be
shipped. After winning and depending on what you win, you may need to
request a shipping quote through our
Checkout
system.
Missouri
customers: You must pay an additional 7.162% sales tax on your

collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).
Will your order be
shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $3.00 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Thursday items need to be sent
in either flat packages or rolled in tubes
so...
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT COMBINING: Flat rate shipping is good for 3 weeks worth of

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of
Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all
of the items (even if you get 100 or more, but solely from a single set!), but we also allow
you to wait until the next three weeks of auctions end (a total of up to nine sets of auctions)
so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if
possible; see
Learn More
About Combining), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to
nine of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items
fit into the same type of package, but of course, there is a limit to how many items can fit in
a single package or tube, and if you end up with several packages, you will need to pay that
many shipping charges;
Learn More About Combining). Since around half of our auctions have items that ship in
tubes and the other half have items that ship in flat packages, and since few of those items can
be combined, most of our regular buyers end up with at least two packages after three weeks. We
KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do (and of
course, there are others who charge far more!), but none of the ones with lower rates offer the
same generous flat rate shipping we do, and we know that our packaging is the best there is, and
our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S.
packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE COST OF SHIPPING AS STATED ABOVE.

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order
(you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post
Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or
Airmail), plus $3 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.
All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or
uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 6 consecutive weeks
(a total of 18 auctions and around 15,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click
HERE to learn more
about becoming one of the hundreds of our non-U.S. buyers who are already
part of this program.

more about how to save money on shipping by shipping to friends/family
in the U.S., insurance, and customs fees.
NOTE: NORMALLY WE PROVIDE SHIPPING ESTIMATES
HERE, BUT SINCE THE ITEMS IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS SHIP IN A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF
PACKAGES, WE CAN NOT DISPLAY ACCURATE SHIPPING ESTIMATES FOR THIS SET OF AUCTIONS. If you
have questions about the estimated cost of shipping of specific items, please
contact us listing which
item(s) you are interested in, and we will provide you with estimates. |
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these
approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (plus $3 for packaging
materials)!
