About our current 374 "oversized" items
All of the items we are currently auctioning are "oversized", meaning that
they can't be sent in our regular standard-sized flat mailers, or our tubes
that measure 32" or shorter. Some must be
sent rolled in really oversized tubes (a very few can be sent in "regular"
width tubes because they are very long but are not very wide, like rolled
door panels) and some must be sent in oversized flat packages (all larger
than the size
of flat window cards, and some much larger). This means that, this week
only, we can ONLY combine shipment of items that are sent in tubes
and items that are sent in flat packages, but if you win items of both
types, then you will have to pay two separate shipping charges. It should be
pretty simple to tell which items can only be sent flat, and which can only
be sent in a tube, but if you are unsure about
what can or can not be combined, please
e-mail us and we'll be happy to tell you. Either way, you will have to pay
a greater
amount for shipping than normal (especially if you live outside the U.S.), as the U.S.
Post Office has recently increased their rates yet again. We charge
the "actual" cost of shipping this week (plus $2 for packaging materials) to
all buyers (U.S. and non-U.S.), because we are selling items of 100
different sizes (all "oversized"), and our shipping estimate charts below for non-U.S. buyers
are only of limited use (and the actual cost can vary drastically from the
chart, so PLEASE do not think that you can rely on them!), due to the wide variance of the size of the
packages, so if knowing the actual shipping cost is important to you before
you bid, please
contact us with the item or items, along with where you live.
About the condition We give a detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and only a few which are
"good" or lesser) along with more details about the condition described in words (where we thought additional details were needed, because the defects were hard to see). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, so we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the
still for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards via
phone at +1 (417) 256-9616 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST
to 5 PM CST except from 12 to 1 when we take lunch), via
e-mail, or via fax at +1 (417) 257-6948.
U.S. orders with a flat rate shipping can quickly be completed via PayPal
in our
Checkout
system. At this time, PayPal is the only payment method supported by the
checkout but more payment methods and features will be added with time.
If your order requires a shipping quote and you have received your
quote, you may pay via PayPal manually to "mail@emovieposter.com",
but know that PayPal has many glitches, so you need to e-mail us separately
stating that you completed payment
Learn More.
Here are step-by-step instructions if you need help paying manually
with PayPal.
You can send a check or money order (if you do, enclose
your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775
If it is your best payment option, you
can pay by Western Union, but please don't send cash (as we can't
be responsible for lost cash).
If your order requires a
shipping quote, please request it through
our
Checkout system. Please note that we are still developing this
checkout system, so while you may request your quote using it, we do not
quite have it ready to complete payment (although we hope to have that added
soon), but payment may still be completed using whatever method you have
used in the past. If you run into any sort of problem requesting your
quotes, please e-mail
Phillip right away so we can get it addressed.

U.S. Shipping Details
THIS WEEK ONLY, all buyers (U.S. AND non-U.S.) must pay the
actual cost of
sending your order, plus $2 for the packaging materials.
Why don't we have a "flat rate" for U.S. orders this
week, like we do most weeks? Because we are selling oversized
posters of all shapes and sizes, some of which must be sent in our custom-made extra heavy duty gorilla proof
mailing tubes, and some of which must be sent in "very oversized" flat packages which are much stronger than the ones used by most sellers (*read
more about our "gorilla proof" tubes or packages that stand up to the greatest
of abuse, and we wrap all expensive items in plastic, so that even a
submerged tube or package will likely arrive undamaged!). Shipping will vary greatly depending on how
many items you get, what the weight of the posters are, if
they fit in the same package, and where you live. Generally it will cost
$15 at the very least to send an oversized tube or flat package anywhere in the U.S. by either U.S.
mail or UPS, fully insured (all U.S. orders MUST be fully insured).
Can we send your order in a less expensive way? We have
purchased movie paper items many hundreds of times over the Internet
ourselves, and we have seen the tubes and oversized flat packages that other
sellers use (both the free kind and the kind purchased at shipping supply
stores), and the protection offered by those tubes is spotty at best (those
cheaper tubes will often get bent resulting in creasing or tearing to the
poster, or in extreme cases, a tube can even lose a cap from an end
resulting in the buyer receiving a tube but no posters!), so please do not
ask us to use a lighter weight tube or oversized flat package or less expensive packing materials to save on
shipping, because we won't do it! We know that once you see our tubes
and oversized flat packages you will agree that they are a great investment in protecting your purchase(s) and you will wonder why other sellers of vintage movie paper do
not use these same tubes and oversized flat packages
(and if somehow you don't agree with us, we ask you
not to bid at all!).
Will your order be
shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Thursday
items need to be sent in oversized flat packages OR
rolled in oversized tubes so...
*There
is a chance they can be combined with these auctions and we will
combine them if there is no chance of damage to any of them items you
win (but realize that "rolled" items can not be combined with "flat"
items):
- Thursday April 7th items in Part II of our Spring
2011 Mini/Major Auction
- Sunday April 10th rolled non-movie posters in Part III
of our Spring 2011 Mini/Major Auction
- Tuesday April 12th rolled non-U.S. posters in Part IV
of our Spring 2011 Mini/Major Auction
- Tuesday April 19th rolled non-U.S. posters
*they must be sent separately from
these auctions for an additional shipping charge:
- Sunday April 3rd miscellaneous items
- Tuesday April 5th linenbacked items in Part I of our
Spring 2011 Mini/Major Auction
- Thursday April 14th single stills
- Sunday April 17th or 24th 'regular' and 'bulk lot' Sunday auctions
|
Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single
set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until
the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions
(if possible), and that means there
is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and
FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF U.S. SHIPPING PLUS $2 FOR PACKAGING
MATERIALS (and on a week like this, when we use very large tubes and flat
packages, the $2 usually does not come close to covering the cost of those
materials).

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer), plus $2 for packaging materials. All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
KNOW THAT IT CAN BE BETWEEN SOMEWHAT EXPENSIVE AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO
SEND THESE OVERSIZED ITEMS OUTSIDE THE U.S., AND THE BELOW CHARTS ARE ONLY A
VERY ROUGH GUIDE TO THE ACTUAL COSTS. We do not make a penny on
the shipping (because we charge the actual cost), BUT PLEASE BEAR IN MIND
THE SUBSTANTIAL ADDED SHIPPING COSTS BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID ON THESE ITEMS!
Here is a chart
containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3
rolled oversized items (lots 1s211 to 1s374) from this week's
auctions
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more
for each additional $100 of insurance)
IMPORTANT!
We charge the "actual" cost of shipping this week (plus $2 for
packaging materials) to all buyers (U.S. and non-U.S.), because we are
selling items of 100 different sizes, and our shipping estimate charts
below for non-U.S. buyers are only of limited use, due to the wide
variance of the size of the packages, so if knowing the actual shipping
cost is important to you before you bid, please
contact us with the item or items, along with where you live. |

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Please bear this shipping cost in mind BEFORE your place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order. Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the
United States? Some of our customers either
visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and
often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then
they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON
SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let
us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't
use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (both
within and outside the U.S.). We only add $2 for packaging materials (and
on a week like this, when we use very large tubes and flat packages, the $2
usually does not come close to covering the cost of those materials).
