A Special Note About Our Current
570
Items:
Many of the items we are currently auctioning are "oversized", meaning that they can't be sent in our regular standard-sized flat mailers (and NONE
of them can be rolled in a tube). THERE ARE A FEW EXCEPTIONS; SEE THE
SHIPPING SECTION BELOW. Basically, this
auction contains items that measure larger than 11" x 14", but smaller than 14" x
22" (when folded as far as they can be folded). We sell items
that measure OVER 14" x 22", and must be sent in flat packages in
their own auction, and we sell the items that measure 11" x 14" or under and
must be sent in flat packages in a special separate auction of their own as
well.
Because the items offered in our current auctions need to be shipped in oversized flat packages, you will have to pay $4
extra for U.S. shipping (and possibly a lot more if you live outside the U.S.).
Please realize that, in many cases, we will actually lose money on shipping because many packages
from this auction will cost more (some, much more) than the $14 U.S.
shipping charge (especially those who purchase many items), but we are absorbing this loss as a "thank you" to our
customers!
WHY ARE THERE SOME SIX-SHEETS AND THREE-SHEETS IN
THIS AUCTION? Normally we auction three-sheets and six-sheets in their
own special auction. But the three-sheets and six-sheets in this
auction are "folded funny", so that they are larger than regular ones (when
folded), but are smaller than tri-folded ones (which we auction in our
"large ship flat" auction).
A Special Note About Pressbooks:
We are selling an excellent collection of 529 pressbooks this week!
While a lot of the pressbooks that
exist have ads cut out of them (this is only logical, since they were created
with the intention that the theater owners would cut them up and create their
own newspaper ads from them), 96% of the 529 pressbooks we are selling this week are COMPLETE AND UNCUT
(only 23 of them have either missing pages or ads cut out, and we clearly note
which those are). Many collectors have been discovering pressbooks, which
have the appeal of both movie posters and magazine type items, and collectors
quickly learn that many of them are quite scarce, and especially difficult to
find completely uncut. The collection offered this week provides a rare
opportunity to locate a wide variety of pressbooks, covering all years and genres,
and most of them are complete and uncut!
NOTE THAT WE MAKE IT IMMEDIATELY OBVIOUS WHETHER A
PRESSBOOK HAS "CUTS" OR IS "UNCUT"! We put "NO CUTS" after the
overall condition grade of the uncut pressbooks, and we put "but WITH
CUTS" after the condition grade of the cut pressbooks. Know that
some of the cut pressbooks are actually in pretty nice condition other than
the cuts, and some of the cut pressbooks are not in very good condition at
all (and you can tell which are which by looking at our super-sized images).
About the Condition
Note that we give a detailed overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", "good", and "fair", with only a few graded "poor") along with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much only if they are defects that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, either directly over the phone
at 417-256-9616 during our regular business hours which are Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5
PM CST except between 12 and 1 when we take lunch, or you can e-mail us
payment details, and there are still a few people who fax us!
If you like to pay via PayPal (our PayPal e-mail is "mail@emovieposter.com"),
that is fine, but know that PayPal has many glitches, and you should
ABSOLUTELY e-mail us separately when you send us a PayPal payment!
You can send a check
or money order
(if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775
If it is your
best payment option, you can pay by Western Union
(unlike SOME auction
sites, we are not prejudiced against Western Union!). But please don't send cash (as we can't be
responsible for lost cash)!

U.S. Shipping Details
As a special offer to our customers, U.S. buyers need to enclose $14
shipping no matter how many items you win!
Why $14 shipping this week?
This week only (because we are selling
"oversized" posters which do not fit in our standard mailers, and will need
to be sent in large oversized mailers, or between six heavy pieces of large
cardboard), all U.S. buyers must pay a total of $14 (fourteen) shipping, whether
you buy 1 item or 100 (or any number in-between). Note that we FULLY
INSURE EVERY U.S. order we send! We will spend the shipping collected on
virtually all orders, and we spend far more on those that involve lots of
items and high dollar items.
A few
of the
posters this week are not oversized!
Note that some of the items (mostly pressbooks which
were long ago folded an additional time) we are selling this
week are not "oversized", because they were once folded perfectly
in half, which means that they CAN fit in our standard mailers (WE
HAVE CLEARLY NOTED WHICH ONES THESE ARE IN THE INDIVIDUAL AUCTION
DESCRIPTIONS). But it only makes sense to re-fold these items if they
are purchased by themselves (or solely with other items that can be
re-folded), because if they are purchased with items that can't be folded,
there will be no point in folding them.
WE ARE NOT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY ON SHIPPING!
In fact, most U.S. packages we send will cost us MORE
than $14 to send, but we are making this special "$14 U.S.
shipping" offer this set of auctions, as a special discount to our buyers in our
auctions, even though this means we will lose money on shipping
most U.S. packages which contain more than a few posters!
Will your order be
shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Thursday
items need to be sent in oversized flat packages so...
*they can be
combined with these
auctions for no additional shipping charge (but realize you will still
have to pay the $14 U.S. shipping if you combine these items with one of
the below auctions):
- Tuesday March 16th folded one-sheets
- Thursday March 18th single lobby cards
- Sunday March 21st movie magazines,
exhibitor magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs
- Sunday March 28th movie magazines,
exhibitor magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs
- Tuesday March 30th French and Italian
one- and two-panels
*they must be sent separately from
these auctions for an additional shipping charge:
- Tuesday March 23rd rolled non-U.S.
posters (French, Belgian, and Italian locandinas)
- Thursday March 25th rolled non-U.S.
posters (from 26 countries)
- Sunday March 21st & 28th bulk lots
|
Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single
set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until
the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions
(if possible), and that means there
is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and
FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $14 U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order
(you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post
Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or
Airmail), plus $2 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.
All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or
uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks
(a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click
HERE to learn more (if you are not one of the hundreds of our
non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program)
Here is a chart
containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this
week's auctions
(note these are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may
vary considerably)
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay
$1.60 more for each additional $100 of insurance) |

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear this shipping cost in mind BEFORE your place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the
United States? Some of our customers either
visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and
often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then
they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON
SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let
us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't
use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the
actual cost of shipping plus $2 outside the U.S.)!
