YOU GET "100 Years of
the Cinema" AS A BONUS
THIS WEEK!
"Crazy Bruce Hershenson" says, "We are currently selling 999
lots of 4 to 7 lobby cards, and I thought I would offer each buyer this week one of
our VERY BEST full-color movie poster
books, 100 Years of the Cinema. This was the catalog for an auction
organized by Bruce Hershenson in 1996 of a remarkable single owner
collection. The owner of the collection was attempting to get an
extra-special poster from each of the 100 years films had been made, and
remarkably he had 72 years covered. Many of these posters are the only
copy known. This is a lavish 108 page full-color catalog with 45 full
page images. It had the highest per poster average selling price ($4500)
of any auction ever held! This originally sold for $30, and
thousands were sold at that price! We offer every one of our buyers this week a copy of this great
full-color book, 100 Years of the Cinema as a bonus, even if you just buy one
$1 item! If you don't already own this great book (or maybe even if you do!), then you should find any one of our
hundreds of items to buy, just to get the bonus book! You may
get 100 Years of the Cinema AND this item for as little as $1 for both plus shipping (if you are the only bidder)! |

Special Notes About This
Thursday's Items About the Condition of the Lobby Cards
Note that we give an overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good",
and "good", with only a few graded "fair" or lesser),
sometimes with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much only if they are defects that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the
item for minor defects that we did NOT
describe (especially because it is difficult to give a single condition
grade to a lot of more than one card, since they can vary widely in condition, so
that is even more reason to look at our images to get a sense of the
individual condition of each of the cards in each lot).
Please remember that our grading system is FAR more harsh than any other dealer we know of! We feel certain that our "very good to fine" condition grade compares favorably to most dealers' "near mint" grade and our "fine" condition grade compares favorably to most dealers' "mint" grade!
We did not describe most of the tiny defects these cards have in words, so we strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see whatever tiny defects any of these cards may have.
If an
item is in less than very good condition, should you not bid on it? Of course not, as long as you are accepting of the defects the
item has! The item that is graded "very good", but has as many minor defects as is allowed under the "very good" definition is only in SLIGHTLY better condition than the best of the "good to very good" items. So please take the time to look at the larger images of items that interest you, and see if the defects are the sort that you can "live with", or are willing to restore. Some of these items are EXTREMELY rare, and it may be years before you see them offered again!

Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, either directly over the phone
at 417-256-9616 during our regular business hours which are Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5

payment details, and there are still a few people who fax us!
If you like to pay via Paypal (our PayPal e-mail is "mail@emovieposter.com"),
that is fine, but know that PayPal has many glitches, and you should
ABSOLUTELY e-mail us separately when you send us a PayPal payment!
You can send a check

(if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775If it is your
best payment option, you can pay by Western Union
(unlike SOME auction
sites, we are not prejudiced against Western Union!). But please don't send cash (as we can't be
responsible for lost cash)!

U.S. Shipping Details U.S. buyers need to enclose $9 shipping (which includes full insurance)!
Why do we charge $9, when we used to charge $9 to $11 on eBay? We spend $9
(or more) on almost all U.S. orders, because we use such good, heavy
packaging (at least twice as strong as that used by most sellers), even on
low priced orders (because we believe a low priced item still deserves the
best handling)!
We USED to charge $11 for shipping on U.S.
orders over $100 when we sold on eBay, but now that we are auctioning on our
own site we have lowered that to $9, which is both our way of thanking those
who order a lot from us, and also our way of passing on our savings from not
paying eBay commissions to our customers!
Will your order be
shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
(NOTE: These Thursday items must
be sent in flat packages and they CAN be combined with the folded German and Australian posters
we auctioned on 7/23, and CAN be combined with the single lobby cards we're
auctioning on 7/28, and CAN be combined with our Sunday auctions [except the
bulk lots] that close on 7/26)
Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single
set of EITHER Tuesday or Thursday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until
the next three sets of auctions end (a total of four sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions
(if possible), and that means there
is a chance you could combine items from up to four of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and
FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $9 U.S. SHIPPING!
|
Non-U.S. Shipping Details Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order
(you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post
Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or
Airmail), plus $2 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.
All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or
uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
Here is a chart
containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this
week's auctions
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more
for each additional $100 of insurance) |

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these
approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the
United States? Some of our customers either
visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and
often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then
they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON
SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let
us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't
use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the
actual cost of shipping plus $2 outside the U.S.)!

You Can
Add More to Your
Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer
many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this week's
auction will be sent in flat packages,
so you can add any item that can also be sent in a
flat
package for no additional shipping costs. We have noted in each
paragraph below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
Incredible Discount on Learn About Movie Posters Book!
(can be
shipped flat only)
A
while ago, we offered
great discounts on many of our books, and the best seller from that promotion was
the
Learn About Movie Posters book, which regularly sells for $29.95, but
which we sold for just $5.99. We sold out of all of our remaining copies (we
thought!), but we have discovered we have more copies of this great book than we
realized, and we can offer them once again at this incredible discount!
Whether you are brand new to the hobby, or have been
collecting for many years, you are almost certain to find this book of great
value. About the only complaint we ever hear about the
LearnAboutMoviePosters.com
is that it is just SO massive that it can be difficult to find what you
are looking for, and you won't have that problem with this book. And at
this ridiculously low price of just $5.99, you are sure to "get your money's
worth" in no time at all (because it will help you become a better informed
collector)!
To learn more about the book (and to see some sample
images), go to
http://www.emovieposter.com/books/bookspecific.php?booknum=62 where you
can also order online (and you can, of course, order via e-mail at
mail@emovieposter.com, or by the
phone at 417-256-9616, or by Postal Mail). If you live in the U.S., and
want the book sent by itself, you need include $4 for Media Mail, and if you
purchase anything else from us that it can be combined with, you don't have to
pay ANY shipping at all! If you live outside the U.S., you need to
pay the actual cost of shipping (either by itself or sent with your other
purchases).
Don't miss this chance to add this great book to your
bookshelf at this giveaway price. We promise you that you will LOVE the book, or we will
give you a cheerful refund of your purchase price! |
