IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Once every year, we take a rare vacation, and we completely close down for one week (this year it falls on August 4th to 8th). Because it would not make sense for auctions to end during our vacation, the inserts we listed on Tuesday, July 29th, and the Marilyn Monroe, Our Gang, and Superman collections we listed on Friday, August 1st will run for two weeks each and will end on August 12th and August 14th (meaning that NO auctions will end on August 5th or 7th). We will return from vacation on August 11th, and we will answer any questions or corrections about our current items you may have sent us during our vacation.

If you purchased item(s) prior to our vacation but didn't pay by Friday, August 1st, KNOW THAT YOUR ORDER CAN NOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL AUGUST 11th (and of course we will be very busy on our return, but we will give first priority to filling orders that were paid for while we were closed)!

Please be understanding of our desire to have a vacation once every year!

About This Special Collection
     Just about everyone agrees that Marilyn Monroe is surely the greatest sex symbol of all time (and likely one of the most recognizable celebrities ever!). We were consigned a truly remarkable collection of Marilyn Monroe vintage stills and lobby cards, and we are offering them this week in a special auction. Most of the lobby cards are in nice condition, and they include some of the best titles and Marilyn images. Most of the 8 x 10 vintage stills are in really excellent condition, and there are many of them from Marilyn's best remembered movies (with great images included). Of special note are a great assortment of "ART" stills from Some Like It Hot (which we have never seen before), a great assortment of candid stills from Some Like It Hot, and a great assortment of special publicity stills and news photos of Marilyn Monroe (including ones from the late 1940s, and some we have never seen reproduced before!).
     It happens we were just consigned an excellent collection of 12 very early "Our Gang" lobby cards (including a card from the fourth short ever made), and almost all of the cards are in truly wonderful condition, and we have included this collection in this special auction. We were also consigned 6 lobby cards (two title cards and four scene cards) from the very first Superman movie ever, the 1948 serial simply called "Superman", and we have included this collection as well.
     If you have the slightest interest in Marilyn Monroe, Our Gang, or Superman, you absolutely must look at these remarkable collections (even if you are only "window shopping", because you will surely see many images you have never seen before)!

About the Condition
     Note that we give a detailed overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", and "good", with only a very few graded "fair") along with more details about the condition described in words, if there was anything worth noting (but pretty much a general description of the defects, and we only describe specific defects if they are the type that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the item for minor defects that we did NOT describe.  PLEASE NOTE THAT A GREAT PERCENTAGE OF THE ITEMS WE ARE SELLING THIS WEEK ARE IN REALLY EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND THAT WE DOWNGRADED ITEMS TO "VERY GOOD TO FINE" FOR SOME EXTREMELY SLIGHT DEFECTS!
Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, either directly over the phone at 417-256-9616 during our regular business hours which are Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5 PM CST except between 12 and 1 when we take lunch, or you can e-mail us payment details, and there are still a few people who fax us!

If you like to pay via Paypal (our PayPal e-mail is "mail@emovieposter.com"), that is fine, but know that PayPal has many glitches, and you should ABSOLUTELY e-mail us separately when you send us a PayPal payment!

U.S. Shipping Details
 U.S. customers pay only $5 for shipping ANY quantity of items!
We fully insure all U.S. orders, and we lose money on the shipping of most orders of multiple stills, but this way we reward those who buy many items.
     Note that since many of the items we are auctioning this week are stills, and because we are offering this incredible collection of Marilyn Monroe, Our Gang, and Superman stills and lobby cards, we are offering a special discounted U.S. shipping rate of only $5 no matter how many items you win! This means big savings on shipping when you buy lobby cards in this special auction because we would normally charge $9 to ship those!

 You CAN usually combine shipment!
(NOTE: This week's Thursday items must be sent in flat packages and can NOT be combined with the inserts we are selling August 12th nor with the linen posters ending 8/19 or rolled one-sheets ending 8/21)
    Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single week, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until next week's auctions end so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible), and since we do two sets of auctions every week, that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to four of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a flat shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package, but know that if you combine stills with items with a higher shipping cost, then you pay the high shipping cost for the combined package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE $5 U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
 Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or Airmail), plus $2 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.  All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
 
IMPORTANT! Only Buying Stills?
if you solely purchased stills from us in this auction, know that we can ship your still purchases at a lower rate than the quotes in the chart below because the stills can be sent in smaller flat rate packages. Below are the non-U.S. shipping quotes for stills.

For Canada or Mexico, we estimate the "actual cost of shipping" to be approximately $12 for up to 20 stills.

For everywhere else in the world, we estimate the "actual cost of shipping" to be approximately $14 for up to 20 stills.

Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the United States? Some of our customers either visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then they transport the items from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.

    Know that we also sell several other movie poster-related publications, so now is a good time to pick up items you may have missed! We have copies of a great full-color magazine entirely devoted to the great legendary poster artist, Bob Peak! This magazine (called Illustration Magazine #6) has tons of full-color images, all shot directly from Peak's originals, and has a great in-depth overview of Peak's entire career, written by his son! It sells for $9 and it is almost completely sold out, but if you want a copy, just enclose $9 with your order! We also have copies of Illustration Magazine #7, which has a long article on master horror/sci-fi illustrator Reynold Brown, with many full-color images shot directly from his originals, and that issue is also just $9.
