Cindy Walker was a country western music singer/songwriter from the 1940s to the 1960s. Her songs were recorded by generations of artists and she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1997. Some of her most famous songs include: "Lone Star Trail" first recorded by Bing Crosby, "Dream Baby", "Silver Spurs" made famous by Gene Autry, and "You Don't Know Me" which has been successfully recorded by Jerry Vale, Lenny Welch, Ray Charles, and Elvis Presley. She passed away in 2006 at the age of 87.
