Strangers in the Night, the 1944 Anthony Mann romantic mental-illness murder crime melodrama ("Original story by Philip MacDonald"; about a Marine in World War II who has a correspondence with a beautiful young woman he has never met; he goes to meet her when he is discharged, and finds her mother who says her daughter has gone away; but then a friend of the mother's tells him that the daughter never existed, and that the mother was the one who wrote the letters, whereupon the mother kills the friend and tries to kill the Marine, but accidentally kills herself instead!) starring William Terry, Virginia Grey, Helene Thimig, Edith Barrett, and Anne O'Neal

Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet has been trimmed and it now measures 26 1/4" x 41".

Condition: very good. The poster had 3/4" trimmed from the left blank border, and had minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, but the restorer did not bother replacing the missing part of the blank left border.
