An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Valley of the Sun, the 1942 George Marshall post-Civil War Native American Indian romantic cowboy western comedy ("A mighty cavalcade of thundering action sweeps across the screen in this thrilling saga of America's frontier days..."; "Told against backgrounds of staggering grandeur!"; "Based on the Saturday Evening Post story by Clarence Budington Kelland"; about a court-martialed Army scout who gets involved trying to stop the Indians from fighting, and also to stop a beautiful young girl from marrying a crooked Indian agent) starring Lucille Ball, James Craig, Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"), Dean Jagger, Peter Whitney, Billy Gilbert, Tom Tyler (as Geronimo), and Antonio Moreno NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair to good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some minor wear on the foldlines, with pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but it was very roughly handled after it was backed, and there are now creases and tears in parts of the left side of the linen, and some creases scattered in the poster (both in the poster and in the linen itself). If I owned this poster, I would surely have it removed from the current linen and have it re-backed. Learn More about condition grades
