An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Pied Piper, the 1942 Irving Pichel World War II (WWII) military rescue-of-children-from-the-Nazis melodrama ("Nevil Shute's epic of Today!"; "Nevil Shute's mighty story of Today!!"; "It's all heart - and thrills!"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; a sentimental story of an old Englishman who is visiting France when the Nazis invade, and he takes a group of children back to England with him) starring Monty Woolley (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Roddy McDowall, Anne Baxter, Otto Preminger, J. Carrol Naish, and Peggy Ann Garner NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
