Date Sold 4/16/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original 1967 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) Kdo chce Zabit Jessii? (released in the U.S. as "Who Wants to Kill Jessie?" and in other countries as "Superman Wants to Kill Jessie", "Who Would Kill Jessie?" and "Who Killed Jessie?"), the 1966 Vaclav Vorlicek Czechoslovakian science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy romantic love triangle comedy (about a female scientist who invents a machine that allows you to "edit" your dreams, so that you can remove disturbing elements; but she doesn't know that those removed people enter the real world!; her husband is having romantic dreams about a comic book heroine named Jessie, so the scientist removes Jessie from the dream, along with her comic book boyfriend Superman, and both they and a villain enter the real world and start causing all sorts of problems!) starring Dana Medricka, Jiri Sovak, Olinka Berova (in the title role as Jessie), Juraj Visny (as Superman), and Karel Effa. Note that this movie is almost completely unknown in the West, but it is pretty remarkable, in that it has a lot of the spoof elements of the 1960s Batman TV series (and it was done at the same time), and it also has an unauthorized Superman, and what is most remarkable is that it is a completely silly movie, made behind the Iron Curtain, which just wasn't done at that time! Artist: Kaja Saudek Important Added Info: Note that we have previously sold an Italian two-panel poster for this movie, but this is the first time we have auctioned the Italian one-panel! Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
