An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" (8x10) Movie Still (Learn More)

Billy the Kid, the 1930 King Vidor outlaw cowboy western ("All talking picture!") starring Johnny Mack Brown (billed as "John Mack Brown"; in the title role as William H. 'Billy the Kid' Bonney), Wallace Beery (as Pat Garrett), Kay Johnson, Karl Dane, and Wyndham Standing. Note that this was the first screen version of this classic story, and in this version, Billy the Kid is best friends with Sheriff Pat Garrett, and that story line was reused in many future versions, including in 1941's Billy the Kid with Robert Taylor and in 1941's The Outlaw (with Jack Buetel, but it wasn't released until 1946 because of censorship issues with Jane Russell).
