An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Moonshine, the 1918 Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle silent alcohol liquor bootlegging hillbilly feuding families comedy short ("Story by Herbert Warren"; about hillbillies living in the Ozark Mountains, and there are two feuding families of bootleggers, but then federal revenue agents, played by Arbuckle and Keaton, arrive, and they can't find the stills; the movie ends with Fatty in a cabin that is blown up by dynamite, but then he appears as the director, and runs the movie in reverse, and then pauses it, which gives him a chance to escape the building before it blows up!) starring Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, Buster Keaton, Al 'Fuzzy' St. John, Alice Lake, and Charles Dudley. Note that this was one of 17 movies that Fatty Arbuckle starred in that also had appearances by Buster Keaton, who had not yet reached major fame (he was not billed or pictured on almost all posters from these 17 movies). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a Danish program (and NO other movie paper) from this movie until we received this title lobby card! Note that in the earliest days of lobby cards (mostly between 1915 and 1919), lobby sets were usually NINE cards. There were eight scene cards, and an additional "title card", that was REALLY a title card, because it normally just had text on it with the title of the movie and the credits, but no image. Some time at the end of the 1910s, studios realized they could print lobby cards on two half-sheet-sized sheets and then trim them into eight lobby cards, which saved a lot of money, and at that time they eliminated the title card and changed one of the scene cards into a modern day title card (with both image and credits), and the eight card lobby card has remained the standard to the present day. The title card offered here is one of those mid 1910s true title cards! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair. Most of the card is water stained throughout. There is a tape repair on the back of the top left corner. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this card. Learn More about condition grades
