Their own doctor said they were through - and then they came up off the ground to batter their way to glory across 500 jungle miles of terror behind the enemy lines!"; "So you've killed a lot and you've bled a lot and your guts are wracked and your nerves are mauled and an inch is a mile and an hour is forever.... Man, your war has just begun - you're one of Merrill's Marauders"; "How they fought those last 500 miles will remain forever in your memory!"; "The men who 'couldn't' go on -- the mission that 'couldn't' be done -- the picture that can't be forgotten!"; "From the book by Charlton Ogburn, Jr.") starring Jeff Chandler (in the title role as Brigadier General Frank D. Merrill; in his final movie role), Ty Hardin, Peter Brown, Will Hutchins, Andrew Duggan, and Claude Akins. He was 42 years old. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only once before auctioned this 24-sheet, and that was 10 years ago! Also note that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 15 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this poster needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 16" x 23" x 2", so it will cost more to send than items that fit in our standard flat packages, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. Condition: very good. The poster has minor wear on some folds and some darkening on the back of the part that was on the outside when it was fully folded, but it has generally survived in pretty nice condition.
