If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release U.S. posters of any sort from this movie are extremely rare. We have never seen or heard of this window card (with a great different image not seen on any of the other posters) before! Also note that this poster has been paperbacked.
UPDATED 12/08/2013: Note that a very long time collector tells us that there was a 39 Steps window card auctioned at Sotheby's in 2000, and that he believes it was the very same window card that is currently being auctioned (although it has had additional restoration since that time). He also says there was one at auction in 1992, but he doesn't know if that one was a different example either (it is quite possible that this same card has been auctioned twice before, and that it is the only example known). Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the card was cut in half on a diagonal, starting in the upper left border and running through Donat's hand, through his suit, and ending near the middle of the right border. The card had some faint stains, smudges, and scuffs scattered in the image and some pinholes, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed (the two pieces were joined together and there has been paint restoration scattered in the image), but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects (but from a reasonable viewing distance, the card looks great!).
