An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Clarence, the 1922 William C. de Mille silent family relationship romantic mistaken identity comedy (based on the play by Booth Tarkington; about an odd family that hires an ex-soldier to be their handyman, and he gets all involved with their personal lives, and he is suspected of being a deserter) starring Wallace Reid (in title role as Clarence Smith), Agnes Ayres, May McAvoy, Kathlyn Williams, and Adolphe Menjou. Note that this movie was remade in 1937 with Roscoe Karns in the lead role. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
