Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and some separation in the right of the middle horizontal fold and in the left 4" of the bottom horizontal fold. There was a 5" diagonal tear running through the leg of the chair and into the background at lower left. There were tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss in the right half of the bottom horizontal fold and a 2" semi-circular tear in the right of the bottom fold. There were pinholes in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
