An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) George White's 1935 Scandals (also known as "George White's 'Scandals' Second Annual 1935 Screen Edition"), the 1935 Harry Lachman & George White musical comedy ("Entire production conceived, produced and directed by George White"; "Surprise tops surprise!"; "Ten top-rank stars... 30 gorgeous beauty contest winners... 200 dancing darlings... 1000 spectacular costumes... dazzling lavishness... tuneful song hits... hilarious fun... you never want it to end!") starring Alice Faye, James Dunn, Ned Sparks, Lyda Roberti, Cliff Edwards, Arline Judge, Eleanor Powell, Emma Dunn, George White, Susan Fleming (an actress who played minor roles in movies from 1931 to 1936, at which point she married Harpo Marx, and basically retired), and Jane Wyman (in an uncredited role). Note that George White was a former vaudeville dancing performer who became a major Broadway producer in the late 1910s. He began producing an annual "George White's Scandals" on Broadway, and in 1934 and 1935, movie versions were created of the Broadway productions. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we don't know who the four ladies posing with their arms up are. Since a ton of actresses appeared in this movie, and a few went on to good careers, it would be interesting to know who these four are! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There is light water staining in the lower right border and in the right of the bottom blank border, and it extends into the bottom half of the title and part of George White's credit. There is light scuffing in the bottom left corner of the image, with a tack hole in each corner. There is a light rectangular area of slight darkening in the upper left border. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
