If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned one example of the first release style B half-sheet (15 years ago), but we have never before auctioned this first release style A half-sheet! The movie was given a quick re-release in 1959, which likely accounts for the rarity of the first release posters. Also note that the half-sheet was folded once in each direction at one time. Because the folds are such that they have not diminished over time, AND because the poster was folded down the exact center in each direction, then we MAY fold the half-sheet prior to mailing, if it reduces shipping costs, and if you do not also purchase other half-sheets that need to be sent rolled. Condition: good to very good. The poster has tiny paper loss at the crossfold and minor wear on the folds. It has a 3" vertical tear at top center that goes into the white part of Clift's eye. Someone put tape on the back of that area, and a piece of tape on the front of the border at the top of the tear. Other than the above, the poster is in pretty nice condition. It can be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or certainly additional restoration can be performed, either with or without backing the poster. Learn More about condition grades
