He appeared in the stage production of "The Jazz Singer", but was passed over for the movie, because Al Jolson was better known. He appeared in many other movies including: Wait Till the Sun Shines, Nellie, Beau James, and Stage Door Canteen. His nickname was "Toastmaster General of the United States". He passed away in 1981 at the age of 83. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by George Jessel!
