An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Jack Buchanan was a Scottish actor from the 1910s to the 1950s. He debuted on Broadway in 1924, and went on to have a successful movie career too! He primarily appeared in English movies, but he had a very memorable starring role in Ernst Lubitsch's Monte Carlo in 1930, and in 1953, he co-starred in The Band Wagon. Some of his other movies include: Her Heritage, Settled Out of Court, and Brewster's Millions (in the title role as Jack Brewster). He passed away in 1957 at the age of 66. Important Added Info: Note that this still was found together with the set of 8 lobby cards from Monte Carlo, which we are currently auctioning in eight separate auctions. It is definitely an original vintage still from 1929. It has a "signature" on the front, which we believe to likely have been some form of early autopen, but we DON'T believe it was signed by Mr. Buchanan. Please do not bid on this thinking it was hand signed, as we believe it surely was not. Condition: good to very good. There are some smudges and scuffs scattered throughout the still.
