Lowell is associated with the Fireside Poets, a group of New England writers who were among the first American poets that rivaled the popularity of British poets. He was also a professor at Harvard! He passed away in 1891 at the age of 72. Important Added Info: Note that this note paper has been personally autographed (signed) by James Russell Lowell! It was glued to a larger sheet of paper on the back of the left and right sides. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
