An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 1/2" x 21 1/2" [37 x 55 cm]) (Learn More) Stranger From Venus (released in Australia as "Immediate Danger"), the 1954 Burt Balaban English/U.S. science fiction (sci-fi) alien-visitor-from-space thriller ("When the earth had fourteen second to live!!!") starring Patricia Neal, Helmut Dantine (in the title role as The Stranger), Derek Bond, Cyril Luckham, and Willoughby Gray. Note that after the huge success of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" in 1951, there were two low-budget imitations of that movie made in England in 1954. One was "Devil Girl from Mars", and the other was this movie, which seems to be also known as "Immediate Disaster" (but we don't know when or where it was called that!). The producers made a wise move in hiring Patricia Neal (the star of "The Day the Earth Stood Still") to essentially play the same role in this movie, but they had no budget, so there were virtually no special effects, and apparently, Helmut Dantine was no Michael Rennie, and the movie is almost completely forgotten today (but apparently it can be seen in its entirety on YouTube). Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster! We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning. Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair. There are ink stains at upper center and at left (in the art of the helmet and art of his left shoulder) and the same ink was used in the large upper blank border.
