Date Sold 2/21/2013 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Santiago (released as "The Gun Runner" in Australia), the 1956 Gordon Douglas Cuba gun-smuggling adventure melodrama ("Trapped in the killer-caverns of the Caribbean!"; "They were like two blazing weapons in the hot Santiago sun... 'Cash' Adams, who'd even take on a tornado for a price -- and the girl who put a price on his head!"; "'Cash' Adams would even take on a tornado to make a buck ...But there was a time in Santiago when 'Cash' went to work for free..."; "This was the jungle-of-no-return --And now there was no turning back!"; note that the movie is set in "Santiago de Cuba" in Cuba, and not Santiago, Chile, as the title might lead you to believe) starring Alan Ladd, Rossana Podesta, Lloyd Nolan, Chill Wills, Paul Fix, L.Q. Jones, and Frank de Kova NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were used in French speaking parts of Canada, but they were printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us! So they are original stills from 1956, but they were printed for use in parts of Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good.
