MONSTER FROM THE OCEAN FLOOR MONSTER FROM THE OCEAN FLOOR pb OR search current auctions Auction History Result #5432 MONSTER FROM THE OCEAN FLOOR pb '54 Date Sold 10/30/2003Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 11" x 14"; 6 pages) (Learn More) Monster From the Ocean Floor, the 1954 Wyott Ordung ocean octopus monster scuba diving underwater horror thriller ("Terror strikes! ...from beneath the sea!"; "Terror strikes from beneath the sea!"; "Up from the forbidden depths comes A Tidal Wave Of Terror!"; "See... Fierce battle with man-eating shark!"; "See... monster creature of atomic age!"; produced by Roger Corman) starring Anne Kimbell, Stuart Wade, Dick Pinner, Wyott Ordung, and Inez Palange. Note that the octopus-like monster in this movie (like virtually all 1950s monsters) is strangely attracted to beautiful women in skimpy outfits. What do the monsters do with the girls after they catch them? NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. But on October 30th, every one of these pressbooks will go to a new owner, as all are being sold with NO reserve. Note that this collection spans the years from 1950 to 1972, and just about every single 1950s and 1960s horror/sci-fi movie is represented here. Also note that we have listed them in DATE order (first by year, and then alphabetically within years). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale! Condition: good. tattering, paper loss, pieces of yellowed tape, and water stains along the bottom 2" of the pressbook. Note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Since pressbooks were INTENDED to be cut up (the theater owners would cut out the newspaper ads to run in their local papers). It is very difficult to find a pressbook that has NOT been cut, and that ads greatly to their value! folded in half at one time; creases, smudges, and scuffs along the bottom edge and to a lesser extent, throughout the poster Learn More about condition grades
