Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: poor to fair. The poster had been displayed and it had faded considerably. In addition, it had lots of creases and scuffs scattered throughout, and a 5" tear in the left of the bottom border. Overall, the poster was in poor condition prior to linenbacking. Under the circumstances, the poster was pretty well backed, and the backing has reduced how noticeable the creases are, but of course, nothing was done about the substantial fading.
