Varnick") starring Lon Chaney Jr. (in the title role and his first appearance as the Mummy!), Dick Foran, John Hubbard, Elyse Knox, George Zucco, Wallace Ford, and Turhan Bey ("The Man of Mystery") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this title card is incredibly rare, as is all 1942 first release movie paper (likely caused by the movie getting an extremely quick re-release just six years later in 1948, by Realart). In the 1990s, we auctioned a complete set of lobby cards and some posters, but only a single scene lobby card from this movie in the 21 years since, until we were consigned this title card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has paper tape on the back of the top and bottom borders, and someone removed a small amount of it. It has pinholes and creases in the top and bottom borders, with a 1" tear in the bottom border and two tiny bits of paper loss in the left border. It has some partial horizontal creases near the middle of the card, including one that goes through the Mummy's eyes at middle right. No restoration has been performed. Obviously, the card can be displayed as it is, or restoration could be performed, but please look at our super-sized image and read the above carefully before bidding on this ultra rare card.
