A 1960 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Jailhouse Rock, the classic 1957 Richard Thorpe rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) crime prison romantic musical ("His first big dramatic singing role!"; about a young man who is sent to prison for manslaughter, and while there he is helped to become a singer/musician by an older convict, and after he is released, he becomes a major rock star!) starring Elvis Presley ("At His Greatest"), Judy Tyler (who sadly died in an auto accident before the release of the film), Mickey Shaughnessy, Dean Jones, Jennifer Holden, and Anne Neyland NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned several examples of the first release title card, but we have never before auctioned this 1960 re-release title card! Also note that this card has a 1957 NSS number at lower right, but it has "Copyright 1960" in the lower left. The card was returned to theaters in 1960, and they reprinted cards from the original plates, only changing the copyright date, and nothing else. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is brown staining in the right of the bottom border that extends up into the credits. There is a faint smudge in Elvis' cheek at middle left, and a few faint smudges and scuffs around the edges.
