She's devastating!"; about a rich society lady who discovers that her dry cleaner pays "protection" money, and she gets an ex-gangster to help her, and she forms a "gang" that breaks up the protection racket, and she even ends up sending the mayor to jail for being corrupt!) starring Fay Bainter (billed as "Academy Award Winner"), Ida Lupino, Lee Bowman, Henry Armetta, and Warren Hymer. Note that Fay Bainter had won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for "Jezebel" the year before, and Columbia built this contrived comedy around her, and advertised her as "Academy Award Winner" to beef up the box office appeal!
