The Petty Girl (also released as "Girl of the Year"), the 1950 Henry Levin romantic pin-up artist comedy ("The most beautiful girls in Hollywood!"; "More gorgeous than ever in color by Technicolor"; "An alluring curvaceous sex-tette that has Youth Love Laughter Music Dancing Excitement"; "introducing the 12 Glamorous Petty Girls"; a fictionalized biography of George Petty; he meets a pretty professor and wants her to pose for him, and she refuses, but he won't take no for an answer) starring Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings; as famed pin-up artist George Petty), Joan Caulfield (in the title role as Victoria Braymore), Elsa Lanchester, Melville Cooper, Audrey Long, "and introducing The 12 Glamorous Calendar Girls". Note that George Petty cooperated in the making of the movie and provided art for the advertising!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfold and minor wear on the foldlines. There were a few faint scuffs scattered in the image. There was surface paper loss in each blank corner where tape was removed. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well, but the restorer did not touch up the blank corners, likely rightfully assuming they will not show when the poster is framed.
