An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked German Movie Poster (measures 38" x 55 1/2" [97 x 141 cm]) (Learn More)

Ich Hab Mein Herz im Autobus Verloren (literally translates to "I Lost My Heart on the Bus"), the 1929 Carlo Campogalliani & Domenico Gambino German/Italian silent romantic comedy starring Domenico Gambino (billed as "Saetta Gambino"), Truus Van Aalten, Lydia Potechina, Robert Garrison, and Philipp Manning. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this German poster, which is a very rare "country of origin" poster from Germany from before World War II. There are very few German movie posters from before World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had paper loss at the crossfolds and some paper loss in the right half of the bottom fold, with a few small areas of paper loss on other folds. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
